In Round One, “Craig & Mike”, “Tequila Mockingbird” and “The Clan” all made perfect starts, scoring 10/10.  Despite earning 2 Bonus Points each, it was “Harbour Lights” who were the early leaders, scoring 18 points with their Joker card.

 

The topic for the Word Puzzle Round this week was ‘Dingbats’ – and “Tequila Mockingbird” continued their perfect start, scoring 20 points with their Joker, adding two more bonus points into the bargain.

 

In Round 3, “The Bridies” scored 10/10 to earn two more Bonus Points, but they were out-done by “The Clan” who played their Joker to score a maximum 20 points to win the ‘Multiple Choice’ round adding a further 2 Bonus Points to their tall as well.

 

The theme for the Picture Round this week was ‘Iconic Hairstyles’ – the teams were given pictures of ten well-known celebs, but their faces were covered with masks (the celebs, not the teams!) and so all they had to go on was the hairstyles themselves.  Quite a few teams managed to get all ten correct, but “Dunderheids” and “The Stoaters” both played their Jokers to get a maximum 20 points, plus 2 Bonus Points apiece.

 

In Round 5, the Themed Round this week was a music round – ‘Name The Rock & Roll Artist’. The music was certainly popular, with lots of our teams bopping about in their seats.  “Universally Challenged” were the winners in this round, with a Joker-boosted 14 points

 

In ‘Total Wipeout’ this week, the Snowball Jackpot had increased to £20, but it was a pretty dismal round for our teams – TWELVE teams scoring zero and “Tequila Mockingbird” top-scoring on 5 points.

 

As there were no winners this week, the Jackpot will be £30 for next week!

 

The final ‘Guess Who?’ round saw SEVEN teams correctly guess Oscar-winning actor Forest Whittaker as our mystery celebrity – albeit on the fourth clue!  “Smarteenies On Tour” were drawn out and they won the £20 cash prize for the round.

 

Another close-run quiz saw “Tequila Mockingbird” win on 80 points. to get their hands on the £25 Greene King Brewery Gift Card this week.
